Chief Fisher began his career in emergency services when he
was merely 17 years old by joining his local volunteer fire department in 1985. After becoming a certified firefighter
he moved on to EMS where he became an Emergency Medical Technician in 1986.
After serving for several
years in civilian sector emergency services he joined the US ARMY and then on to the US NAVY where he served as
a rescue-firefighter and then later to become involved with law enforcement.
Chief Fisher came
to Carlisle County Rescue Squad in 1996 and became the departments training officer. Two years later he accepted the
position of Assistant Chief and one year later became the departments Chief and has resided in this position
ever since. Chief Fisher is also the President of the AREA-1 Rescue Squad Association and is very active with the state's
rescue squad legislative activities. He is also the Carlisle County SAR Coordinator and also serves as a Paramedic
with our county's ambulance service.
Chief Fisher's training and qualifications range
from BSAR certification, Man-Tracking, Advanced Rope Rescue, Advanced Vehicle Extrication, Hazmat Operations Level, Water
Rescue/Recovery, Confined Space Rescue, Rough Terrain Tactics and Logistics.
