Our agency operates under KRS Chapter .39F. We are charged with the responsibility
of providing technical life-saving rescue services for Carlisle County Kentucky, serving 5,350 citizens with a response area
of 199 square miles.
Rescue services are provided to every citizen of Carlisle County at
no cost. Our rescue technicians are 100% volunteer and are highly skilled and specially trained to provide technical life-saving
rescue services such as; Advanced Auto Extrication, High Angle Rope Rescue, Rough Terrain SAR, Water/Rescue-Recovery, Land
Based SAR, as well as providing Hazardous Materials Operations services.
The Carlisle
County Rescue Squad although a volunteer agency, is a highly skilled and technically trained professional life-saving organization.
Our agency is non-profit organization and all proceeds generated are utilized to enhance the overall rescue services
for the citizens of our county.
Our agency holds current affiliations and active "Mutual
Aid Agreements" with all KRS.39F rescue squads in our eight county region. With these partnerships we
are able to provide a very advanced and comprehensive rescue services for all citizens in the Area-1 Region. Wether it
be someone trapped in a mangled car, a lost or injured hunter/child, missing Alzhiemers patient or a disaster
such as a tornado our agency has the regional resources and technically trained staff available to call upon at
a seconds notice.
Our Rescue Squad also responds to all calls for
severe weather with 15 trained advanced weather spotters and we also monitor all weather conditions from our Davis Pro2 Advantage on-site
Weather Station 24 hours a day. Information collected from this site is uploaded to NOAA via the APRS WXNET and is sent
directly to the Meteorlogical Assimilation Data Ingest System. Our weather station call sign for APRS WXNET
is I.D. CW9275 and the Weather Exchange I.D. is KKYBARDW3. Our realtime weather data can be viewed at the CWOP site.
